ADMINISTRATIVE CONSULTING

"Time and again Rachel has proven she has a talent for narratives. Her natural ability to weave compelling stories lends itself seamlessly to crafting prose that is on-topic and in a style that funders can understand. Additionally, her hands-on experience in the Arts & Culture sector gives her a great perspective on how to frame a project so it's exciting to be a part of."

Grant Writing

I have over a decade of experience writing successful grants at the civic, provincial, and federal levels. My experience includes everything from travel grants for individual artists to multi-year organizational operating grants, and everything in between. I have also secured substantial funding through foundations and corporations, both through formal intake processes and organization generated proposals. Whether you are looking for support to get the ball rolling on a small project grant or a large-scale funding appeal, I would be honoured to help you tell your story.

Copy Writing

To me, copy writing is just storytelling with specific parameters. Whether you are trying to distill an idea into a sales pitch, your organization into a cohesive website, or several months’ worth of activities into a newsletter, I can help you find your hook, make your point, and keep your audience coming back for more.

"I witnessed Rachel's writing abilities as a playwright, dramaturg, copy writer and grant writer over the course of six years and can attest to her skills and experience. She writes compelling stories whether she is creating marketing copy or a brand new play. Her ability to speak through the characters she writes completely translates when she's writing in an institutional voice."

Program Development

I have developed and launched a number of programs including The Home Project, which interviewed teens across a broad range of backgrounds about their ideas of what “home” meant, two live-streamed digital performances for teens across the province, and The Playwrights’ Gym, a paid training program for emerging and mid-career playwrights to learn about writing for young audiences. My projects encourage exploration and artistic expression that is rooted in joy.
